What a great night out in St. Paul tonight at the Xcel Energy Center for The Worlds Toughest Rodeo! First and foremost, Midwest Rodeos would like to extend a HUGE Thank you to our friend Jason Hetland with therodeoroundup.com for having me partner up with them for this event!
Tonight was Military appreciation night, and I would like to take a moment to tip my hat to any of you reading this who has served, or is currently serving in the United States Military. There was a full crowd out at the Xcel Energy center tonight, and they came ready to get rowdy! The World’s Toughest Rodeo features a handful of events to show off all that the rodeo world has to offer, and to help new fans of rodeo learn about each event. The rode consisted of Barrel Racing, Saddle Broncs, Bareback Broncs, Mutton Busting for the kids, and of course my personal favorite, The Bull Riding!
One exciting thing about The World’s Toughest Rodeo is the crowd it brings in. The crowds are always large, and diverse in knowledge of rodeo. You can’t help but see some rodeo veteran explaining to others around them exactly what is happening in the arena, while other just sit in awe of all the athletes.
The crowd also seemed in shock at the amount of rodeo talent that comes right out of their own state. To name a few that live right here in Minnesota there’s Bull Riders Lance Schwartz and J.D. Ingham, Barrel Racer Bailey Webb-Olson, and Bronc Rider Wyatt Hicks just to name a few.
There were many exciting acts tonight that you can only see at an event such as The World’s Toughest Rodeo. Whiplash the Cowboy Monkey stole the show, as the crowd enjoyed watching him wrangle up some sheep, while riding dog back.
