I wanted to let you all know about some big changes going on, that won’t effect any of you much, but it is a big change for me! Some of you may know, some may not know, I Scott Kojetin have been working with a business partner on my now former website. As of today, I have walked away from that partnership, and now am the proud sole owner of www.midwestrodeos.com! You will still get all the same great event coverage, blog pots, and of course our ever growing in popularity #PerformerOfTheWeekWednesday segment. I will be taking the month of February off from the performer of the week segment, as you can imagine building this new site has taken a lot of time and energy, and I want to make sure I have time to work out any bugs, and kinks before having a weekly post up.
I have some exciting news when it comes to the Performer of the week segment. As an added incentive for performers to be a part of this segment, and promote their profile once it is posted, at the end of the year we will have a contest for Performer Of The Year! We will have a voting page up on the website in December, simply the performer with the most votes will be our performer of the year. The winner of this contest will receive a custom belt buckle we are having made that will contain the performer’s name!
That being said I would like to invite all of you rodeo performers to submit you performer of the week profiles to me! This month will be the perfect time to receive entries for the performer of the week. So far our readers have absolutely loved this segment, and getting to learn about the live’s this eras cowboys and cowgirls lead. If you would like to be featured, gain some exposure, and as a way to help yourself get some sponsors please contact us with 2 or more photos, a description of your life outside of the rodeo arena (work, hobbies, family life, life goals, ect) and a description of you rodeo career such as, how you got started, all events you have or do participate in, accomplishments, adversities, associations, and future rodeo goals. Performers of the week can be anyone that is actively involved in a rodeo performance, from an athlete to a judge, entertainer, gate puller, ect.
I want to give a shout out to everyone who has supported me during this transitional period, as it has not been an easy choice or endeavor.
